After you have settled on a date range, you can then choose what you want the reports to be grouped by - by customer, by driver, by service type, by package type, or by day. This will determine which of these groups the sales report will be broken up for. So if you chose to group by driver, for example, a sales report will be generated for each driver that has made a delivery in the time frame that you selected. With these two options, you can generate detailed reports exactly to your liking!

What’s On A Sales Report?

Now that you know how to create a sales report with some specific options, what does it tell you? These reports, as mentioned previously, are split up based on whichever group you chose to separate them by, and each are given their own report. Each of these reports compiles all of the deliveries made during the time period you selected that fall into the specific option of whichever category you split by, so you could have a unique sales report for each different package type option, for example. Within these reports, you will see the order number, the date, the pickup and delivery locations, and any additional details for each of these orders, along with the price of that delivery. At the bottom of each sales report is the total pricing amount of all these orders during this period. This way, you can receive specifics and detailed information about all of these orders, while also being able to see the total sales amounts, split up to make it easy to understand what you are looking at!

Additional Reports

In addition to the default sales reports that are generated after you choose your options, you can also select a few additional reports that have a bit less detail on them, but still give you the big picture information for this time date range. There are up to four additional reports you can add on to a sales report generation, and you can choose to include none of them, all of them, or anywhere in between! These are a customer summary, a driver summary, a package type summary, and a daily summary. Each of these summaries break down the category by all the options, again providing the total pricing amount each of these sections has procured during this time frame. For the daily summary, this shows how many deliveries, of which types, and the total pricing amount made each day of the date range. By utilizing these summaries as well as the more in-depth sales reports, you can gain some useful insight into all corners of your operations!
